Meet the Scientist

The “Meet the Scientist” STEM event, held in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Student Sponsorship Programme (SSP) in South Africa, brought together over 250 students from various schools across Johannesburg, with an additional 4,000 participants tuning in from across Africa and beyond. This extraordinary gathering featured Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett, the renowned immunologist whose pioneering work on the COVID-19 vaccine has inspired millions worldwide. Dr. Corbett shared her journey, insights, and passion for science with an enthusiastic and diverse audience.
