Brilliant African Innovations Against COVID-19

    SESSION 7 in the webinar series “Crisis Management for African Business Leaders” is titled “Brilliant African Innovations Against COVID-19.” This session showcases the ingenuity and creativity emerging from Africa in response to the challenges posed by the pandemic.

    The session begins with a welcome address by Professor Tarun Khanna of Harvard Business School, setting the stage for an exciting and dynamic event.

    The highlight of this session is a “shark tank” style pitch competition, where innovators present their groundbreaking solutions to the challenges created by COVID-19. The competition is judged by an esteemed panel of experts, including:

    • Juliet Ehimuan, Director – West Africa, Google
    • Andile Ngcaba, Founding Partner and Chairman, Convergence Partners
    • Eric Osiakwan, Managing Partner, Chanzo Capital
    • Adrian Vermooten, Head of Digital Innovations, Standard Bank

    This event is part of a timely and valuable video conference series produced by Africa.com in partnership with faculty from Harvard Business School. The series aims to address the unprecedented humanitarian and economic crisis resulting from COVID-19 by highlighting innovative solutions and strategies emerging from Africa.
